Hello families!

Welcome to another season of the Brookstone Barracudas!  The swim board and  coaches are excited and ready to start this Monday, 5/23. 

We would like to welcome back Coach Evan and Assistant Coach Walker this year as well as our new junior coaches, Griffin Payne, Katie Kovalaske, Sophie Perry, Lara West and June Brewer.  Our junior coaches will be at all practices and meets helping our coaches with the 78 swimmers that we have this season.

If you haven't done so already, join our Facebook group Brookstone Barracudas Swim Team and follow our Instagram brookstonebarracudas.  We will post to these sites frequently and they are best form of communication when we have to change or cancel practice due to weather. 

• Last year we changed the girls team suit and now it's time for the boys.  It is the companion to the girls suit and can be found here . If you still have have the old black jammers from last year, don't worry. We will continue to wear the old team suit and phase in the new one as time goes on. The team suit will be $31 for the girls suit and $25 for the boys. If you would like to purchase a team suit, you can go to All American Swim in Cary (1231 NW Maynard Rd, by the Briggs) for a fitting and to place your order. Tell them that you are there to order a suit for the Brookstone Barracudas Swim Team to get the team pricing. All swimmers must have a team suit (new or old style) by the first official meet on June 14th.
• Swim Meets: This season we are planning on holding a normal swim season. That means we will be hosting and/or traveling to neighboring pools, similar to what we did pre-pandemic. We will be having a mock meet on June 7th. You will soon see this meet appear on our website where you will asked to declare your attendance and sign up for volunteer positions. A mock meet is an opportunity for our new swimmers to see what a swim meet is like and for our parents to learn about the different volunteer roles that they've signed up for this season. Remember, we all need to be there to support our kids and we can't run swim meets without our volunteers!

Monday through Friday

• 3:30-4:30 15 and up
• 4:20-5:15 13/14*
• 5:05-6:00 11/12*
• 6:00-6:30 6 and under
• 6:30-7:15 7/8
• 7:05-8:00 9/10*

* 13/14, 11/12 and 9/10 will have dryland warm ups for first 10 minutes of practice. Please wear sneakers for dryland and bring water! 

Saturday

• 8:00-9:00 ages 7 - 10
• 9:00-10:00 ages 11 and up
• 10:00-10:30 Prep Team
