Home meet against Dutchman Downs

Hello Parents-

Fingers crossed the weather lets up in time and long enough for the meet tonight.

You're receiving this email because you have been assigned a role for tonight's meet.  I have included two extra kid pushers to assist with the 7/8 and 9/10 age groups - specifically for relay line ups but also to help all line ups if needed.  I think last week's meet could have used some extra help with kid pushing.  I'm not sure if it was the music, 8 lanes, or the excitement of the first real meet, but a few kids lost focus and some even missed their events.

So, going forward - Kid Pushers; please let me know if more help is needed at any time.  Also, please stay near the kids as they move up in the chairs before they swim.  It is helpful when the kid pushers keep and eye on the group to make sure they move forward at the right time and stay in their seat at the right time.  For relays, we need one kid pusher at one end of the pool and another at the other end so that we make sure the kids stay in line until it's their time to swim.  I've added the relay assistant role to help with lining up &/or hunting down a missing swimmer.

All parents:  please talk to your children and make sure they understand that it is their responsibility to be at their lane ready to swim when it is their time to do so.  When they enter the lane staging area, they need to pay attention to the Clerks of Course and listen to what they are being told to do so that they don't miss their turn to swim for the team.

Thank you everyone for your time and efforts!

Let's go Barracudas!
